A US woman accuses Tate Brothers of forcing her into prostitution

Andrew and Tristan Tate are being sued by a US lady who claims they forced her into prostitution and then defamed her.

A U.S. woman has sued online celebrities Andrew and Tristan Tate, alleging that they plotted to force her into prostitution, lured her to Romania, and then defamed her after she testified against them.

“The New York Times” said that the civil case, which was filed in Florida on Monday, is the first lawsuit against the Tate brothers in the United States.

The brothers, who have been involved in court cases in Romania and Britain, are accused of money laundering, human trafficking, child trafficking, sexual relations with a minor, and organizing a criminal organization. All wrongdoing has been denied.

The lady, known in court records as “Jane Doe,” alleges that the Tates sued her for defamation in 2023 in an effort to “bully and harass” her. Because of safety concerns, the court gave her and her parents anonymity.

The case comes after the Tate brothers had a string of legal issues. Andrew Tate was freed from house arrest in Romania last month, but he is still being monitored as a second criminal probe is ongoing. In December, the Bucharest Court of Appeals decided in his favor, dismissing an earlier case against him and returning it to the prosecution.

The Tates’ attorney, Joseph D. McBride, told “The New York Times” that “the truth is on their side” and that there was no proof his clients were involved in human trafficking.

Among the most well-known individuals on trial for human trafficking in Romania are the Tates, former kickboxers who hold dual citizenship in the United States and Great Britain. As authorities and courts in many nations consider the accusations against them, their legal fights are still ongoing.
