Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been hospitalized with stab wounds following an intruder’s attack on his Mumbai residence.

After an intruder allegedly forced entry into the residence of renowned Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and attacked him, the actor was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.

Khan, along with his family, resides in a high-end neighborhood of Mumbai, where the incidence took place in the early hours of Thursday. As per reports, the Mumbai Police informed the actor that he sustained injuries during an altercation with an unidentified individual who broke into his residence shortly after midnight.

The incident was described by Khan’s publicity team as a “attempted burglary,” but they declined to provide any further details. Khan’s family has not yet issued a public statement. Right now, the actor is undergoing surgery at Lilavati Hospital. Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which are grievous, according to Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, as reported.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, “The actor’s residence was entered by an unknown individual.” Afterward, an argument ensued between him and the intruder.

On Thursday morning, Khan’s team issued a statement in which they requested that supporters and the media adhere to the actor’s privacy, underscoring that the matter is currently under police investigation.
