SA Reality TV Star Nkateko Mahange Describes Claims of Abuse Against Former Partner Khanya Nqolase

Nkateko Mahange, star of The Ultimatum South Africa, talked about the toxic dynamics of his relationship with fellow cast member Khanya Nqolase in a very personal statement on the occasion of his son Qhawe David Mahange’s first birthday.

The revelation, which was made public on January 12, 2025, has generated a lot of discussion on social media. Mahange described how their relationship soured to the point where it threatened the health of both him and their unborn kid.

Mahange claimed that Nqolase had engaged in risky activities during their son’s pregnancy.

Mahange wrote, “Our interactions became more harmful and toxic, not only for me but also for our unborn child.” “I felt obligated to remain near her after seeing her willingly take extremely harmful substances during her pregnancy. In order to protect our child before and after his birth, I feigned support for her.

Mahange also talked about experiencing recurrent bouts of emotional and physical assault.

He said that she repeatedly physically assaulted him, punching, scratching, and even using things to hurt him. “Her physical aggression during her pregnancy was one of the most concerning incidents, and it left me extremely worried for both her safety and the safety of our unborn child.”

The birth of their baby, in Mahange’s opinion, did little to calm the tense atmosphere. During an argument, he said, Nqolase allegedly stabbed him while he was holding their newborn because his rage had gotten worse.

The most terrifying incident occurred when I was holding Qhawe and Khanya stabbed me during a furious argument. Despite my bodily wounds, my top priority was to keep my son safe. This violent act proved that he was no longer safe in the surroundings,” Mahange stated.

Beyond their personal relationship, the reality TV personality accused Nqolase of acting erratically.

Mahange and Nqolase initially came to light in 2024 when The Ultimatum South Africa debuted on Netflix. Nqolase received a lot of backlashes from viewers for her on-screen actions, which included body-shaming her co-star Sizakele Dlamini.
