Głogowek Invites Elon Musk to Purchase a Historic Castle for His New Headquarters

Elon Musk has been requested by a Polish municipality to buy its ancient castle from the 13th century for his headquarters in Europe.

Elon Musk has been invited by a Polish municipality to buy its ancient castle from the 13th century and turn it into his European headquarters.

The mayor of Głogowek, Piotr Bujak, revealed that he recently wrote formal letters to Musk’s companies and contacted him through his social media account, X, asking him to think about buying the land. Musk has not yet responded to the request, and the castle’s price has not been revealed.

Bujak said that he had read rumors that Musk was searching for a big property, perhaps a castle in Italy, to set up a base of operations in Europe, according to The Associated Press. Situated in southwest Poland, the Głogówek castle boasts a rich history that stretches back to the Middle Ages. During a brief period in the 17th century, it was the capital of Poland, and renowned musician Ludwig van Beethoven wrote music there.

The region has a long history of producing wine, which has made it famous. The town has great connections and is conveniently located near major European capitals, including Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Warsaw. Furthermore, there is enough for a landing pad for helicopters. The castle has plenty of room that may be used for both residential and commercial reasons, but it will require substantial repair and private funding.
