Wema Sepetu on why it’s still painful to not have Diamond’s kid
Wema Sepetu, a well-known Tanzanian actress, has talked about her relationship with Bongo Flava musician Diamond Platnumz and its unresolved issues.
Wema expresses remorse for not being able to conceive with Diamond, saying she was utterly enamored with the Bongo Flava hitmaker and never fell in love with another man.
Every time I had my period, I would weep a lot because I was so anxious to have a child for Diamond. Every time I got my period, it was really painful. In a recent interview with Mino TV, Wema stated, “He was the only man I had ever been deeply in love with in my entire life, so I really wanted to have his baby.”
When Ms. Sepetu started dating Diamond soon after the singer’s rise to fame, she was already well-known in Tanzania’s entertainment sector.
Entertainment newspapers devoted acres of space to reporting the couple’s relationship week in and week out, making them the talk of the town during their time together.
Wema claims that because they were young at the time, she didn’t want to make the decision, but the couple’s involvement in a blood covenant as a sign of their commitment shows how much they loved one another.
Diamond even dedicated the song “Nawaza” to Wema, immortalizing their love for one another.
Before ending their relationship permanently in 2014, Diamond started an affair with South African-Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, who almost immediately became pregnant with the singer’s only daughter, Tiffah, who was born in November 2015, and later a son, Prince Nillian. The couple had been dating intermittently for more than five years. Additionally, Diamond and Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto had a son together while the singer was still with Zari. Following his breakup with Zari, Chibu Dangote dated Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna, with whom he had another kid.
According to a number of Tanzanian websites, Diamond was anxious to have a child, and Wema’s infertility was the cause of their breakup.
After several unsuccessful efforts to conceive, including two miscarriages while dating comedian and former Big Brother Africa winner Idris Sultan, Wema has publicly and openly expressed her desire to become pregnant ever since the breakup.
Wema talked candidly about her reproductive issues in 2018 after traveling to India for specialist treatment, admitting that she had polycystic ovarian disorder (PCOD).
The signs of PCOD, a hormonal condition, include enlarged ovaries with many tiny cysts that hinder fertilization. Although there is no known cure for the illness, various therapies can help control its symptoms.
