Simba and Constantine are on the verge of defeat as Berkane move forward

After the fourth day of games, RS Berkane was the first team to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup this season.

Their record now stands at four wins out of four games. On Sunday, Imad Riahi scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Stade Malien of Mali in a Group B match played at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.

Stellenbosch FC beat CD da Lunda Sul 2-0 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa. The win moved them to second place in Group B, behind Berkane. Andre De Jong scored both goals in the win.

In Group A, the top two teams, CS Constantine of Algeria and Simba SC of Tanzania, are almost through to the quarterfinals. They beat Bravos do Maquis of Angola 4-0 and CS Sfaxien of Tunisia 1-0, respectively.

Additionally, Zamalek stayed on top of Group D even though they lost points in a 0-0 draw with Al Masry, another Egyptian team, at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

Algeria’s USM Alger are still in first place in Group C after a 1-1 draw with Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan. Mohamed Benmazouz Salifou scored the equalizer after Diarrassouba scored the first goal.
