Report: Hollywood Brown, WR for the Chiefs, will make his season debut

According to reports, wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown will play his first game for the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, unless something goes wrong.

ESPN said on Thursday that the Chiefs (13-1) are going to activate Brown before their game at home against the Houston Texans (9-5).

Friday was the first day that Brown could train with Kansas City in 21 days. He has been on injured reserve since September 13 because of an injury to his sternoclavicular joint in the first game of the preseason.

Brown, who is 27 years old, signed a $7 million, one-year deal with the Chiefs in March. He had previously played for the Baltimore Ravens for three years (2019–21) and the Arizona Cardinals for two years.

To date, Brown has played in 72 games and started 65 of them. He has 313 catches for 3,644 yards and 28 scores. In 2021, he had a 1,000-yard season with the Ravens.

This week, the Chiefs let go of experienced running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, which made room on the roster for Brown.
