Brazil and Nike sign a record-breaking deal to extend their relationship
With a historic deal that will last until 2038, Brazil and Nike have renewed their famous relationship. It used to be worth $35 million a year, but the new deal is worth $100 million a year, which is a big jump.
For the first time, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will also make money from selling jerseys. This is a big boost to their income.
The deal was praised by CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues as “one of the most stable and productive partnerships in football.” Because Nike has been Brazil’s supplier since 1996, all of its national teams, including the men’s, women’s, futsal, and beach soccer teams, will continue to get their uniforms from them. This deal puts Brazil on the same level as other top football teams, like France and Germany, whose contracts also bring in more than $100 million a year.
This addition shows that Nike believes in the global attraction of Brazilian football, which comes from the Seleção’s five World Cup wins and amazing style of play. Nike supports a lot of big football teams, like England, Croatia, and Nigeria, in addition to Brazil. This makes the company even more powerful in the football world.
