Trump cautions the BRICS countries against substituting the US dollar

Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States, requested on Saturday that BRICS nations pledge not to develop a new currency or endorse one that would displace the US dollar or be subject to 100% tariffs.

“We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media site.

Go find another’sucker’, they can. Any country that attempts to replace the U.S. dollar in international trade should bid America farewell, since there is no possibility that the BRICS will do so.
