Nick Cannon Discusses Narcissistic Personality Disorder in “I Need Help” Mental Health Diagnosis and Management
Nick Cannon, a fervent supporter of mental health, is now talking about his difficulties dealing with it following his diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder.
Nick is transparent about his personal life, whether people like it or not. Updates on his swarm of infants were frequently part of that, but the father of twelve had more going on than that. He recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) in addition to having Lupus. The busy and scheduled celebrity talked candidly about accepting the condition in an interview with People.
The 44-year-old, who was diagnosed with dyslexia and then ADHD, “always kind of knew” he was neurodivergent since he was a little boy. After fulfilling a lifelong dream to get diagnosed for NPD, he now acknowledges that he is “healing” and needs assistance.
At a Los Angeles Mission pre-Thanksgiving celebration, he told the newspaper, “I still don’t understand it all the way.” After this realization, he also views sharing his mental health journey as a means to give back to others, even if he is unsure of exactly where it will take him.
It’s like being able to accept it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing,’ even if I feel like there are a lot of labels out there. I need assistance. Show me. I just have a tremendous affinity for therapy and mental health. He went on, “It’s not only healing during the self-process, but I can also say that I’m an example for others.”
On the Counsel Culture Podcast, Nick Cannon discloses his NPD diagnosis.
Nick made the announcement on a Counsel Culture episode on November 8 earlier this month. Nick claimed to display nearly all of the “markers” for NPD in an interview with psychologist Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. He is facing the stigma of the phrase head-on rather than avoiding it. The serial inseminator who is not serious has undoubtedly been referred to as worse.
Since I’ve studied and comprehend the concept of narcissism, I’ve stripped away all of its connotations. You may call me anything you want. Now, I have a problem with that if I didn’t know what it was,” he said to Bryant.

Bravo to Nick for obtaining the assistance he requires and facilitating others’ access to it.
