Snoop Dogg says that Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” brought the West Coast together

He says that Kendrick Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us” “united the West.”

He made sure to stay out of the big fight between Kendrick and Drake earlier this year, but he has said great things about how Kendrick’s song brought together rival gangs and the West Coast music scene.

“Drink Champs” asked him at ComplexCon, “Let me tell you what that record did.” It made the West stronger.

“So, it might have been rude, but it’s hip-hop, so it’s part of hip-hop.” There is no one cause I picked because I didn’t have one.

“That’s an adult fighting another adult.” It did, however, bring the West together and make everyone look at each other like, “Wow, we love each other so much.”

The 53-year-old singer of “Gin and Juice” said that the song was a big part of how warring gang members became “real friends.”

“The Bloods had a peace treaty,” he said. There were Crip gangs that worked together and became friends instead of enemies.

“So, that record brought us together a lot in the West, so let’s talk about that.”

This year, Snoop, who is putting out a new album with Dr. Dre called “Missionary” next month, said nice things about Kendrick after seeing him perform at “Pop Out.” He called the rapper “King of the West.”
