Megan Thee Stallion Talks About Her Mental Health Problems
Megan Thee Stallion thought she was “such a burden” when things were “dark.”
The 29-year-old rapper wanted to offer help because “a few good people” had kept her going by making her feel “loved.” She is currently working with the California Department of Public Health on their Never a Bother campaign, which is an effort to stop young people in the state from committing suicide.
According to People magazine, she said, “As someone who has had some very dark thoughts… at some of the worst times in my life, I just felt like I had a few good people around me who loved me, heard me, and cared.”
“Even when I thought I was being hard to deal with or that I was a bother,” I don’t even want to talk to anyone about this. Life would be easier if it only went one way. “It would be better if I didn’t exist.”
When she talked about the help she got, she said, “If I could do that for someone else or help someone find those kinds of resources, I would definitely do it because I know how it feels and it’s not a good place to be.” That’s what I have to do if I can help.
The “Sweetest Pie” singer went to therapy and found comfort at the gym to deal with her problems.
Megan said, “I began working out very hard.” The gym gave me a safe place to let off steam in a healthy way and a place to relax and clear my mind.
It seemed like I had no idea how to begin improving myself. I felt like I had to do something else after therapy. The gym alone helped me a lot.
The singer of “Mamushi” has now put out a video called “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words” on Prime Video. It shows fans the hard times she went through as she became famous, and she hopes it can help other people.
