The son of Diego Maradona was hired as a coach in Spain

The Spanish team UD Ibarra, which plays in the fifth tier of the Canary Islands, has formally named Diego Maradona Junior as its new coach.
Ibarra’s 14th place in Group 12 of the Tercera Federación puts him in a very risky situation right now.

Francis Díaz was fired by the management on Monday in an attempt to make a significant bench change. On the club’s social media accounts, the appointment of the son of Pibe de Oro and Cristiana Sinagra was announced:

“Ibarra is pleased to introduce Diego Armando Maradona Jr., who will serve as the first team’s technical staff chief. The Canary Islands club announced on social media that the Italian-Argentine coach had joined the team for the 2024–2025 season after having coached a number of teams in the Eccellenza Campania (regional league in the southern Campania region), including Napoli United, Pompei FC, and Montecalcio. Giving a helpful hand and taking a breath of fresh air will be the goals.
