Donald Trump faces a cease-and-desist order from Charlamagne due to a campaign advertisement
“Since when does Trump care about what’s legal!?”
The Charlamagne In reference to a campaign commercial criticizing presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ position on using taxpayer funds to pay for transgender prisoner surgery, God has issued a cease and desist order to Donald Trump.
A videotape of Charlamagne discussing the issue was pulled out of context in the advertisement to make it seem as though he disagreed with U.S. Vice President Harris’ assertion that transgender prisoners should be given the “necessary care” they need throughout their transition.
Since then, the radio personality and New York Times bestselling author has served Trump with a court letter requesting that he take down the part of the campaign ad that features his voice right now.
The South Carolina native responded to criticism of the deceptive statements in the advertisement by declaring, “Cease and desist been sent.” “Since when does Trump give a damn about the law?”
Charlamagne discussed his initial response to the campaign commercial in the original recording, which he said was eventually successful in changing his perspective on the issue.
Charlamagne remarked at the time, “I’ll tell you what, that advertisement they ran during the football games this weekend claiming the vice president supports funding gender transition surgeries for all prison inmates and migrants in the U.S. was nuts.”
“When the narrator says that Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners, I was like, ‘Hell no, I don’t want my taxpayer dollars going to that.'” I’m not sure if it was because of the football background.
He went on, “That advertisement worked.” It said unequivocally that Kamala is in favor of taxpayer-funded sex changes for convicts and discussed her support for gender transition surgery for all American prisoners and immigrants. That advertisement had an effect.
Throughout her campaign, Vice President Harris has made it clear that she supports transgender rights, calling for access to healthcare and other social services as well as protection from discrimination.
In 2019, Harris told the ACLU, “It is critical that transgender people who depend on the state for care receive the care they require, including access to gender transition treatment.”
“While incarcerated or detained, I support policies that ensure federal prisoners and detainees can receive medically necessary care for gender transition, including surgical care,” she said.
“I will order all federal agencies that are in charge of providing essential medical care to provide transition treatment because it is a medical necessity.”
