Ed Sheeran is “at a loss for words” after Liam Payne passed away

The 33-year-old “Perfect” hitmaker has turned to social media in the midst of the “heartbreaking situation” to pay tribute to the former One Direction member, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 31 after falling from the balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel room.

“At a loss for words,” he posted on Instagram on Friday morning. Every recollection I have of him is wonderful; it’s just such a tragic circumstance. My prayers are with his family and loved ones. Show kindness. X

Together with Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, Liam became well-known in 2010 after finishing third on the UK version of “The X Factor.” They went on to become the first billion-dollar boyband in history and reach the top of the charts worldwide.

After the group took a break in 2016, Liam and his ex-partner Cheryl had a seven-year-old kid named Bear. He also had a successful solo career with his single “Strip That Down” and his sole album, “LP1.”

In a joint statement issued just over twenty-four hours after the tragedy, the singers of “What Makes You Beautiful” acknowledged that they were “devastated by the news of Liam’s passing.”

They declared: “The news of Liam’s death has devastated us completely.” There will be more to say when everyone has the time to do so.

However, for the time being, we will take some time to mourn and come to terms with the loss of our beloved brother.

“We shall always cherish the moments we had with him. We are currently thinking about his family, friends, and the people that shared our love for him.

“He will be sorely missed. Liam, you are loved. – Harry, Niall, Zayn, and Louis. (sic)
