Pogba is eager to get back on the field with the reduction of doping cases

After his four-year doping sentence was reduced to eighteen months last week, French football player Paul Pogba announced on Monday that he was excited to play football once more.

On March 11 of the following year, four days before his 32nd birthday, Pogba will be permitted to resume playing professional football because he has a contract with Juventus, the biggest team in Italy, till 2026.

In September of that year, he was temporarily suspended by the Italian National Anti-Doping Tribunal, and in February of the following year, he was banned for four years.

According to Pogba’s representatives, the testosterone came from a dietary supplement that was suggested by a US doctor he consulted.

At the beginning of October, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced this penalty to 18 months.

In an interview from Paris’ Parc des Princes Stadium, Pogba told L’Equipe television, “Football is the strawberry cake that was taken out of my mouth.”

Pogba declared that the horror was over and that he was “really looking forward to coming back.”

When asked if he could join Ligue 1, Pogba, who has never played in the French league in his professional career, responded, “Why not?”

Pogba won four Serie A titles during his first stint at Juventus and played a key role in France’s win at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

But after returning from Manchester United in 2022, he had a lot of problems on and off the field.

Additionally, six persons, including his brother Mathias, were ordered to appear in court last month in connection with an alleged organized extortion case against him.

Meanwhile, the Juventus board, Pogba, and the former Manchester United star are negotiating to end the player’s contract, making him a free agent by 2025, according to a statement made by transfer expert Romano Fabrizio.
