Kim Jong Un is preparing to demolish inter-Korean roads and isolate South Korea

South Korea detected indications that North Korea was preparing to demolish inter-Korean roadways, which resulted in the escalation of tensions and the severance of ties.

South Korea reported on Monday that it has observed signs that North Korea is preparing to demolish unused portions of inter-Korean roads, amid the increased tensions between the two nations.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s strategy to sever ties with South Korea, officially designate it as the nation’s primary adversary, and abandon the long-standing objective of peaceful Korean unification is consistent with this potential destruction..

South Korea’s military has indicated that North Korea is preparing for road demolitions through the installation of shields, as indicated by a variety of activities.

“They have installed screens on the road and are working behind those screens, preparing to blow up the roads,” stated Lee Sung Joon, spokesperson for South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Joon expressed apprehension that the South Korean military is aware that the North may also attempt to launch a space rocket, a capability that the United Nations regards as a prohibited demonstration of long-range missile technology.

This development follows North Korea’s recent allegations that South Korea has used drones to deliver propaganda literature over Pyongyang on three separate occasions this month. The incident has been threatened by North Korea with a military response if it occurs again. While South Korea has refrained from verifying whether it dispatched drones, it has issued a warning that it will impose severe penalties on North Korea if the safety of its citizens is compromised.
