Top Wasafi FM host Dida’s death is mourned by President Samia Hassan

Tanzanians, including President Samia Suluhu Hassan, are sad about the sudden death of Wasafi FM host Khadija Shaibu, also known as Dida. She died on Friday.

In a phone call to Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi FM, President Samia told Dida’s family and the Wasafi media team how sorry she was about the death of their coworker.

“Salamu alaykum za pole kwa kuondekewa na ndugu yetu Khadija Shaibu (Dida), ndugu, banya, marafiki na wafanyikazi wa Waafi Media Group.” Mr. Samia said, “Mwenyezi Mungu mwingi wa rehema awape subra.”

She told the Wasafi family to stay strong during this sad time of losing their coworker.

“I called to tell you how sorry I am about the death of our sister Dida.” If I had called earlier in the day, you wouldn’t have been available because the funeral was still going on. I called to help you feel better and to offer my condolences. This is how all of us feel; we don’t know when we will die, but it is all part of God’s plan. Pres. Samia said, “We say that everything that God brought will go back to him in the end.”

“I want to give you support and tell you to keep going with your work. We want to send our deepest condolences to her family and let them know that the government will be there for them.

Dida died on Friday while she was getting care at a hospital in Dar es Salaam.

She used to lead a show on Wasafi FM in the middle of the morning called “MashamSham” with Idris Wa Kitaa and Juma Lokole.

She was buried on Saturday, which is how Muslims do things.
