Diddy’s mom speaks out in support of her son

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother is afraid that her son will be “lynched in public.”

The 54-year-old star is in jail in New York while he waits to be tried on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Now, his mother, Janice Smalls Combs, has spoken out in his defense, saying that the charges break her heart and that her son deserves the chance to show his innocence.

Janice said in a statement to the New York Post blog PageSix, “It breaks my heart to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a story made up of lies.”

“Seeing what looks like a public lynching of my son before he has had a chance to prove his innocence hurts so much I can’t even put it into words.”

“Like all people, my son deserves to have his day in court to finally tell the truth and show that he is innocent.”

Combs was caught last month and has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He was not given the $50 million bail, so he will stay in jail until his hearing.

Marc Agnifilo, the star’s lawyer, said after he was arrested, “Diddy is a flawed person but not a criminal.”

“To his credit, Mr. Combs has been completely cooperative with this investigation. He even moved to New York on his own last week in preparation for these charges.”

“Please wait to make a decision until you know everything.” These actions come from a man who isn’t guilty and has nothing to hide. He’s excited to clear his name in court.

About 120 claimed victims have come forward with sexual assault claims since the star went to jail. He or she is likely to be hit with a series of lawsuits detailing claims that go back more than 25 years.
