All games are postponed by the Bosnian FA due to flooding and landslides

Following at least 16 fatalities in the nation due to floods and landslides, the Bosnian Football Association (NFSBIH) has decided to postpone all of the games in its affiliated competitions.

The decision was made during an emergency meeting when search and rescue efforts for missing persons continued and houses, roads, and bridges were wrecked by landslides and intense rain.

“After today’s emergency session … a state of natural calamity caused by floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina was declared,” the NFSBIH announced on Friday.

Several teams have experienced infrastructure damage due to flooding. Brnjaci, a third-tier team, has appealed to the local community for assistance after their home pitch was inundated and club premises were destroyed.

“As best they could, good people, coaches, parents, first team players, and veterans repaired the damage. Huge gratitude to all of you,” the club posted on Facebook on Friday.

“We hope that we will all be fine and that this too will pass.”
