Mejja launches a new business while responding to criticism of his rude lyrics

People didn’t like that the experienced artist only sang about women and alcohol.

Mejja, a seasoned gengetone artist, has said that he wants to make unique items with his famous red tumbler on them.

The musician said that the items would have a picture of him on them along with some lines from his old hit songs.

“Like always, the mugs will have a picture of me holding a mug and a few lines of my lyrics.” There will be a different song text on each mug. It needs to be more than just a drink for the people. It needs to mean something to me. “A reminder of good times and memories,” Mejja, who is better known as Okwonko, said honestly.

In addition to talking about his new business, the 38-year-old “Siskii” singer went into why most of his songs have bad language and aren’t appropriate for kids. He did this to address the recent criticism he’s been getting. Some Internet users were upset with the singer because they said he only sings about women and alcohol.

When critics asked what the veteran singer thought, he said, “Those who criticize my lyrics are to blame, not me.” How old they are makes a difference. Please understand that the people I started singing for were young adults who have since had children. That’s why I sometimes write songs that the whole family can enjoy. I try to keep things in balance because I have to feed everyone.

Also, Okwonko said that in the end, the entertainment business was a business like any other, and as a manager, he had to do what worked for his clients and the business in order to make money.

People should also know that I make music as a job. I can’t just write songs for my family. What about the parties that Kenyans love? When I’m in that place, I have to write songs about women, who are always the life of the party, in a dirty language that these people always use to talk to each other.
