The State of Missouri executed Khaliifah ibn Rayford Daniels ‘Abdul Qudduus, also known as Marcellus Williams

After taking the Shahada and committing his life to Islam, Marcellus Williams took the name Khaliifah Ibn Rayford Daniels ‘Abdul Qudduus. Fiveteen years ago, Khaliifah was found guilty of killing Felicia Gayle in a horrible way and put to death by the state of Missouri on September 24, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. On that occasion, there was only one Black person on the “jury of his peers,” and they decided that Khaliifah had stabbed Gayle 43 times while she was in the bathroom in 1998.

BOSSIP earlier reported that the state’s Supreme Court and Republican Governor Mike Parson turned down his request for forgiveness.

Kumail Khaliifah’s lawyer, Larry Komp, talked to the media after his client’s death, according to CNN.

Kamp said, “He readily admitted to the wrongs he had done throughout his life, but he never wavered in his belief that he was innocent of the crime for which he was put to death tonight.” “Relieved that he died peacefully, even though we are heartbroken and shocked by what the State did to an innocent man.”

Witnesses heard Khaliifah’s last words on September 21, and they are the stuff of legends.

“Praise be to Allah in all situations!!!”

Peacefully rest, Mohammed Abdul Qudduus ibn Khaliifah.
