Kanye West Dazzles the Chinese Stage with His Children During His $2 Million Lawsuit Hearing

A rare performance with his four children in China has recently gone viral for the “Carnival” rapper, who is legally known as Ye. The poignant family moment occurred days after he neglected to attend a crucial court hearing, which was a surprise.

In his $2 million litigation against The Gap, Kanye West was scheduled to appear in court; however, he was ultimately absent. This occurs one month after his attorney purportedly terminated him.

Kanye ‘Ye’ West Ignores Court Hearing Without Notification

The hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, September 12, was omitted by Ye, as indicated by recent court documents. The rapper and his company, Yeezy, did not appear or notify the court of their absence, as indicated by the minutes.

The judge also observed that Ye and his company had not provided the court with any new representation following the departure of their previous counsel. Consequently, The Gap’s request for a Yeezy representative to attend a deposition was approved.

This was not the only revelation; the court minutes also indicated that Ye would be required to participate in a deposition in the case. The legal drama commenced in 2022 when Art City Center, a corporation, filed a lawsuit against The Gap regarding its partnership with Ye.

The company claimed that it leased a building in Downtown Los Angeles to the retail behemoth, which was used in the collaboration between Yeezy and The Gap, according to In Touch. Nevertheless, the result was unsatisfactory to Art City Center.

The Gap and Ye filed a lawsuit for damages.

In 2020, the rapper’s Yeezy company and The Gap entered into a partnership. The two parties reached an agreement that Ye’s apparel would be sold in the retail company’s stores worldwide. However, their agreement was terminated in 2022.

Yeezy alleged that The Gap did not adhere to the terms of their agreement at the time; however, Art City Center encountered an entirely different issue. The company observed that the facility they leased for their partnership underwent a number of “significant” and “unapproved modifications.”

Art City Center sought damages exceeding $800,000 in their initial lawsuit; however, The Gap denied all allegations of misconduct. Subsequently, the organization filed a countersuit against Yeezy and Ye for $2 million.

The plaintiff accused Ye and his team of making unsolicited modifications to the building in Downtown L.A. Nevertheless, the Hip-hop artist’s circumstances were exacerbated in August when his counsel, Brian Brumfield, terminated his representation.

Ye Performs in China Days After Missing Hearing

Ye and his family astonished spectators at the Wuyuan River Sports Stadium in Hainan, China, just days after skipping out on court. The rapper was joined on stage by his four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—during his Vultures Listening Party.

A video from the event captured the children and their father entering the spotlight as the audience cheered. The stage was transformed into a playground as the children leapt through the fog and dazzling lights.

In the interim, Bianca Censori, Ye’s wife, captured the entire performance on her phone, allowing her to feel triumphant as a stepmother, as reported by The Daily Mail. She exhibited comparable enthusiasm during her husband’s performance in South Korea.

The rapper asserted that more than $1 million in clothing was stolen.

The Blast reported in March that Ye’s crew claimed they were robbed of approximately $1.2 million in clothing from the rapper’s Yeezy Gap collection. According to their assertions, the apparel was stolen from his warehouse.

According to Milo Yiannopoulus, Ye’s chief of staff, the stolen clothing was located at a Los Angeles sale. Allegedly, they discovered the venue by responding to an advertisement on a supporter account that advertised an abundance of the rapper’s apparel for $20.

Nevertheless, the organizers were able to provide receipts to support their purchase when the police arrived to investigate the sale. They contended that the clothing was acquired legally; however, law enforcement officials observed that they were unable to link each item to a receipt.

A cease-and-desist letter was issued by Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s team.

Despite the fact that the police were unable to verify all of the items on the receipts, they were unable to take any action because Ye’s team had not filed a police case. Consequently, they were unable to seize the clothing that was being sold.

Nevertheless, Ye’s team sent a cease-and-desist letter to the sale organizers, accusing them of using forged receipts to present to the police. Yiannopoulos maintained that they had never authorized that their clothing be sold in quantity.

Additionally, he observed that their records did not contain any information regarding such a substantial transaction. Yiannopoulos maintained that the organizers had stolen the clothing and declared that Ye’s team would formally submit a police report regarding the purported larceny.
