Nicki Minaj Reveals Her Upcoming Album, “Pink Friday”

Nicki Minaj is scheduled to issue her latest album, “Pink Friday 3.”

Over the weekend, the 41-year-old rapper took to social media to clarify her decision to forgo the ‘Gag City Reloaded’ deluxe edition of her album ‘Pink Friday 2’ in favor of a separate album in the series.

The “Anaconda” hitmaker has pledged to disclose the release date within the next few weeks and to release a new track from the project prior to that time.

She stated in an extensive post on X/Twitter, “Instead of releasing a DELUXE of Pink Friday 2, I have elected to create a new album.” Nevertheless, I will continue to integrate new tracks such as #Mamita and [The “anxiety” song] throughout the remainder of the tour.I will notify you of the new date within the next few weeks. The new music is simply too exceptional to be wasted on a deluxe album.

She continued, “The songs I recorded last night were simply too iconic.” I have a deep affection for you all. You are aware of this. I am aware that you do. I will still provide you with something in the lead-up to the announcement, so there is no need for concern.

She reiterated that the new tracks merit their own album with a “specific” tracklisting, stating, “It is just very special to me for so many reasons you guys aren’t aware of.”

“I arranged each song in a specific order.” In order to pay tribute to this, I will treat it as a magnificent body of work and maintain its integrity, without adding any additional content. While one or two songs are not a significant issue, I believe that 5-7 tracks are currently lacking in polish (in my humble opinion). (sic)”

In December, ‘Pink Friday 2’ was released, featuring a lineup of artists including Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, 50 Cent, Monica, and Keyshia Cole.

‘Pink Friday’ was Nicki’s critically acclaimed debut album in 2010. She followed it up with ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ in 2012, which featured her beloved smash ‘Starships’ and saw her experiment with dance-pop.
