Salah’s focus is on the present and enjoying his time at Liverpool, rather than dwelling on the final year of his contract

Mohamed Salah expressed that he is currently not placing his attention on what lies ahead beyond this season, as he has less than a year remaining on his contract with Liverpool.

The Egyptian has established an impressive record with the English giants, netting an astounding 213 goals since his arrival in 2017.

Salah, along with captain Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, are three significant players for Liverpool whose contracts expire at the end of the season.

“Before the season, I approached it with a mindset of savoring my final year and not dwelling on the contractual aspect,” Salah shared with Sky Sports.

“I prefer to live in the present and savor the final year without worrying about what lies ahead.”

“It’s crucial to approach each day with gratitude and focus on the present moment.”

Salah has been consistently linked with a potentially lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.

Last year, Liverpool turned down a bid of £150 million ($198 million) from Al-Ittihad.

Salah inked a three-year agreement in 2022, which is said to have catapulted him to the top of the club’s salary hierarchy, earning him over £18 million annually.

The 32-year-old continues to impress, finding the back of the net in both of Arne Slot’s initial two matches as Liverpool emerged victorious against Ipswich and Brentford.
