Ancelotti not worried about Mbappe’s initial performance at Real Madrid
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti remains unconcerned about Kylian Mbappe’s initial performance at the club, despite the France striker’s failure to score in his first two league matches.
At the age of 25, Mbappe made a move to the LaLiga and Champions League champions as a free agent from Paris St Germain in June, finally putting an end to a long-standing transfer saga.
Despite a promising start with a goal on his debut, Mbappe has been unable to find the net in his first two LaLiga games with Real. He faced difficulties in a draw at Mallorca and a less exciting home win against Real Valladolid.
“His most recent goal occurred on August 14th.” It’s only been two weeks, so there’s no need to worry. Ancelotti expressed his lack of concern during a press conference on Wednesday, leading up to Thursday’s LaLiga match at Las Palmas.
“He seems to be quite content in his current situation, filled with joy and eager to make a goal in the upcoming match.” So Vinicius, who has yet to score this season, doesn’t seem concerned at all.
“Mbappe’s progress is truly impressive. I witness his continuous improvement with each passing day. His enthusiasm and dedication are evident in his well-executed training sessions.” He possesses a great deal of humility. I believe his adaptation is progressing smoothly.
Ancelotti acknowledged that a gradual beginning was anticipated following the retirement of influential midfielder Toni Kroos. Additionally, the team is currently working on integrating Mbappe into a different position as a center-forward.
“Every year presents its unique set of challenges due to the evolving team dynamics and implemented systems,” Ancelotti remarked.
“Last year, we also required some time at the beginning of the season. We often relied on late goals to secure results in many matches.” It may require some time before we discover our true potential and reach our optimal state, but this is a common occurrence.
“Last year, I didn’t expect Toni Kroos to turn into Aurelien Tchouameni, and I won’t expect Tchouameni to become Kroos either.” Every player possesses unique qualities. We must acknowledge and embrace the unique qualities that Tchouameni brings to the team, as they hold great significance for us.
Real Madrid currently sits in fifth place in the LaLiga standings, with four points and a game in hand. They are currently five points behind the league leaders, Barcelona.
