Judge Mathis’ wife, Linda, has filed for divorce after being married for 39 years

Judge Greg Mathis could potentially face a legal battle as his wife, Linda Mathis, has filed for divorce.

As everyone eagerly speculated about Beyoncé’s potential performance at the DNC, Linda Mathis took a different path and headed to the courthouse on Thursday. Although the news may come as a surprise to fans of his popular TV show and recent reality series, the documents do not provide much insight into the reasons behind the end of the relationship. TMZ reported that Linda’s filing stated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup.

The 61-year-old marked July 17 as the date when the Mathis Family Matters stars formally separated. In addition, the documents reveal that Linda is seeking spousal support from the TV star. In addition, she is determined to eliminate any chance of Judge Mathis receiving spousal support from her.

The nature of the split, whether amicable or surprising, remains uncertain for the controversial joke cracker. Given that their four children are now adults, it’s unlikely that their divorce will be as contentious as other well-known celebrity splits involving custody disputes, such as Jeezy and Jeannie Mai or Cardi B and Offset, who have young children.

Greg and Linda collaborate Jade is 39 years old, Greg Jr. is 35, Camara is 36, and Amir is 34.

No information is provided in the filing regarding the existence of a prenuptial agreement between the estranged couple. It may seem improbable for the two college sweethearts, who crossed paths at Eastern Michigan University. They got married in 1985, right after finishing school and many years before his television show started. Linda has been with him throughout his journey to success, but now the grandmother is moving on.

According to Page Six, Judge Mathis expressed his gratitude to Linda for her unwavering support throughout his successful career during his acceptance speech for his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

After my time on the streets in Detroit, Linda gave me the opportunity to work long hours, almost every day of the week. It is the support I received that enabled me to achieve the success you witness,” he stated.

Linda co-signed the family commitment, emphasizing the strength of our love and support. That’s how the Mathis family operates.
