“Flamengo coach Tite is doing well after being hospitalized for a heart condition,” the club has announced

The Brazilian Serie A club, Flamengo, has reported that Tite, the head coach, is in good health following his hospitalization for an irregular heartbeat.

Flamengo announced in a statement on Friday that the 63-year-old, who led Brazil to a Copa America title in 2019, would be discharged from the hospital on Saturday with a recommendation to rest for two days. As a result, he would be unable to participate in the league match against Bragantino on Sunday.

Coach Tite has demonstrated excellent clinical progress as a result of the treatment he has received. The club reported that the cardiac rhythm was restored and the arrhythmia was reversed.

Against Bragantino, Flamengo stated that assistant coach Matheus Bachi, the son of Tite, would serve as the team’s leader.
Flamengo is currently fourth in the division with 41 points, five points behind the leaders Botafogo.
