An Israeli strike in southern Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals and the injuries of 5, according to the state news agency

NNA, the state news agency in south Lebanon, reported that an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the city of Nabatieh resulted in the deaths of approximately 10 individuals, including two children, and the injury of five others.

NNA stated that the victims were all Syrian citizens and that the final casualty count would be disclosed following the completion of DNA tests to ascertain the victims’ identities.

The airstrike was reportedly directed at a munitions depot that Hezbollah militants utilized, according to the Israeli military.

The Israeli assault occurred subsequent to the postponement of armistice negotiations between the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and Israel in Doha on Friday. The negotiators are scheduled to reconvene next week.

In response to the Nabatieh assault, Hezbollah disclosed in a subsequent statement that it had targeted the Ayelet Hashahar Kibbutz in northern Israel.

The Israeli military reported that two soldiers were injured in a missile attack from Lebanon. It also stated that a total of 55 rockets had been fired in the most recent assaults launched from Lebanon.

Additionally, on Saturday, an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in the Qadmous region east of Tyre in southern Lebanon, according to NNA. The incident resulted in one civilian injury. A single individual was fatally injured in the motorcycle assault, according to a security source.

In the past few weeks, the region has experienced a significant increase in tensions following the killing of 12 children and teenagers in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights by a missile strike that was attributed to Hezbollah. In retaliation, Israel executed a senior Hezbollah commander in the suburbs of Beirut.

Ismail Haniyeh, the political commander of the Palestinian Hamas group, was murdered in Tehran, and Hezbollah and Iran have both pledged to retaliate against Israel.
