Rwanda will host a FIFA Series tournament in Kigali
Rwanda is set to host the upcoming FIFA Series during the current international break, as national teams from various confederations come together in the capital, Kigali, for this distinctive competition.
The tournament will showcase eight national teams split into two groups, with matches occurring at two venues in Kigali. The fixtures for Group A will take place at the renowned Amahoro Stadium, featuring the host nation, the Rwanda national football team, as well as the national teams of Kenya, Estonia, and Grenada.
Matches for Group B will take place at the Kigali Pelé Stadium, showcasing the Tanzania national football team, Aruba national football team, Macau national football team, and Liechtenstein national football team.
The FIFA Series initiative seeks to provide teams from various football regions with the opportunity to compete against unfamiliar opponents, thereby offering essential competitive exposure and development opportunities beyond their typical continental matches.
As Rwanda takes center stage for the event, the tournament is anticipated to highlight the nation’s developing football infrastructure while providing fans in Kigali with a unique chance to see a variety of international teams compete.
