Rashida Jones, the former President of MSNBC, has been appointed as the CEO of Piers Morgan’s Uncensored Network

Former MSNBC president Rashida Jones is taking on a new role in the media industry and making a comeback to the executive sphere.

Jones has been appointed as the CEO of Piers Morgan’s media company, Uncensored. On Monday, the company announced a new capital agreement with Raine Ventures, Antenna Group, and other investors, including the Reuben Brothers. We anticipate the investment bolstering the company’s strategy to enhance its digital presence and broaden programming across various formats.

Uncensored is currently running its flagship program, Piers Morgan Uncensored. A company release states that the objective is to develop the platform into a “multi-genre and talent-driven digital network,” incorporating new hosts and original programming aimed at global digital audiences.

The company has commenced the expansion of its lineup. One of its latest initiatives is History Uncensored, presented by former CNN anchor Bianca Nobilo. The program emphasizes significant historical events and figures, offering contemporary commentary and analysis on them.

Uncensored has secured a licensing agreement with Channel 5 in the United Kingdom to syndicate Piers Morgan Uncensored on over-the-air television, thereby extending the show’s reach beyond streaming platforms.

Jones has extensive leadership experience gained during her tenure as president at MSNBC from 2020 to 2025. She managed the network during a time of heightened political reporting and organizational change.

Her departure occurred as MSNBC was getting ready to part ways with Comcast. The network has been rebranded as MS NOW and has been spun off with other former Comcast cable channels into a new media company named Versant.

Joe Ravitch, a partner and co-founder of The Raine Group, will additionally take a position on the company’s board.
