Lampard: Frank Onyeka Contributes to the Premier League Experience and Insight to Coventry

Frank Lampard states that Super Eagles’ Frank Onyeka contributes Premier League experience and leadership to Coventry City’s promotion efforts.

Frank Lampard states that Frank Onyeka has contributed significant Premier League experience and “know-how” to Coventry City as the club strives for promotion to the Premier League.

The Nigerian international joined the Championship leaders on loan from Brentford FC on transfer deadline day in February and has played in all four matches since his arrival, with Coventry securing victory in each of those games.

Lampard stated that the 28-year-old midfielder was brought in, in part, to provide top-flight experience to a squad that has limited exposure to the Premier League.

“When we brought him on board, the playing profile was different since we are somewhat lacking in Premier League experience,” Lampard stated.

“Most Championship teams have more Premier League experience than our players.”

“There’s an experience to it, a certain know-how in his game, and he has made a significant impact both on and off the pitch for us.” His professionalism is impressive, and he has undoubtedly contributed to our recent improvement.

Onyeka was substituted after sustaining an injury during Coventry’s win against Stoke City FC last weekend, but Lampard indicated that the midfielder might still be available for the next match.

Coventry is set to take on Bristol City FC at Ashton Gate Stadium this Saturday.

“He hasn’t trained much, but he’ll be training today, and we’ll evaluate his condition,” Lampard stated.
