Emirates has resumed its Dubai–Lagos flights following a week-long suspension due to tensions in the Middle East, bringing relief to passengers arriving in Nigeria.
Emirates has resumed flights between Dubai and Lagos as of Friday, providing much-needed relief to passengers following a week-long suspension of operations due to tensions in the Middle East.
The airline’s flight EK 783 from Dubai arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos around 4:30 p.m., signifying the reinstatement of the route linking Nigeria’s commercial center with the Gulf city.
Passengers arriving on the flight shared their relief at being back in Nigeria following the temporary disruption that had left numerous travelers stranded or needing to change their plans.
Sunil Bansa, one of the passengers, expressed his satisfaction that normal operations had returned following the uncertainty brought about by the suspension.
Another traveller, Anyim Anthony, characterized the journey as seamless and expressed his satisfaction with the airline’s resumption of flights to Lagos.
In a similar vein, Ayotunde Balogun conveyed his relief upon safely arriving in Nigeria, highlighting that the resumption of flights would alleviate the travel challenges encountered by passengers during the disruption.
The airline suspended services temporarily due to rising tensions in certain areas of the Middle East, impacting multiple international flight routes.
As operations resume, Emirates is anticipated to progressively reinstate its standard flight schedule connecting Dubai and Lagos, an important route for both business and leisure travelers between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
