Trump Proposes US Might Shift Focus to Cuba After Iran Conflict

President Donald Trump indicates that Washington may redirect its attention to Cuba once it addresses the current US military operations concerning Iran.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has indicated that his administration might redirect its focus to Cuba after the current military operations concerning Iran are completed.

During a visit by players and officials of Inter Miami CF, champions of the 2025 Major League Soccer season, Trump made the remarks at the White House on Thursday.

The US president indicated to an audience of numerous Miami residents of Cuban heritage that Washington might soon shift its attention to the Caribbean nation once the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is settled.

“The situation in Cuba is remarkable.” Trump said, “We should finish this one first, but soon you and many great people will return to Cuba, hopefully not for good.”

His comments arrive shortly after the intensifying conflicts in the Middle East that include the United States, Israel, and Iran.

In an update regarding the conflict, Trump stated that American and Israeli forces were persistently advancing their military operations against Iranian targets.

“We are completely defeating the enemy,” the president stated while addressing the war.

Trump commended Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, for his contributions to the administration’s foreign policy amid the current crisis, particularly highlighting his efforts in strengthening alliances and coordinating responses to Iranian aggression.
