Sean Diddy Combs’ prison release date has been rescheduled to an earlier time

Federal records indicate an earlier release while the appeal is ongoing.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date has been adjusted, and the timeline is progressing more rapidly than anticipated. Records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons indicate that the 56-year-old mogul is scheduled for release on April 25, 2028. That is approximately six weeks sooner than his earlier estimated date of June 4, 2028.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released from prison on April 25, 2028.

The alteration occurs as Combs persists in appealing his four-year sentence. In October 2025, he received a sentence of 50 months in federal prison. The judge additionally mandated that he pay a fine of 500,000 dollars and undergo five years of supervised release upon his return home.

Combs had already served a year in prison following his arrest at a Manhattan hotel in September 2024. The time was included in his overall sentence. From the very beginning, the clock was already ticking.

The earlier release date seems connected to his involvement in the Residential Drug Abuse Program, commonly referred to as RDAP. In November 2025, it was confirmed that he had been accepted into the program designed to reduce time for eligible inmates who successfully complete it.

Combs’s spokesperson has confirmed his full engagement in RDAP and his commitment to the rehabilitation process. Based on that statement, he has remained dedicated to personal growth and positive change.

The legal battle continues.

Combs is advancing with his appeal, seeking to contest certain elements of his conviction and sentence. As the appeal progresses through the judicial system, the Bureau of Prisons determines release dates by considering time served, good conduct credits, and participation in programs.

As court proceedings progress, the calendar continues to shift.

For some, the earlier date indicates that the system’s mechanics are functioning as intended. For some, it marks yet another chapter in a case that transformed the legacy of one of hip hop’s most influential figures.

The date has changed, regardless of the circumstances.

April 2028 is now the key date to monitor.
