Trump has confirmed that the US and Israel carried out airstrikes that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei and 40 other Iranian leaders

Trump has confirmed the deaths of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei and 40 other Iranian leaders in US-Israel strikes.

On Saturday, United States President Donald Trump confirmed that the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with 40 prominent military and civilian leaders, was killed in the airstrikes conducted by the US and Israel targeting Iran.

Trump also announced that members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were seeking immunity from the United States.

On Saturday, the US and Israel initiated a significant offensive against Iran, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian populace to “seize control of your destiny” by opposing the Islamic leadership that has governed the country since 1979.

In response, Iran initiated attacks on Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, Syria, and other nations hosting US military bases or allied with the US, as a reaction to the strikes on its territory.

The United States is said to maintain approximately 13 military bases throughout the Middle East, with a typical deployment of 30,000 to 40,000 troops among these installations.

As the US and Israel called for regime change in Iran, Tehran responded by launching airstrikes against US allies in the Middle East.

According to Reuters, the attacks led to the closure of a significant portion of the Middle East’s airspace, causing widespread effects around the world.

At least eight countries—Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates—have closed their airspace.

Syria has also declared the closure of a portion of its airspace in the southern region along its border with Israel for a duration of 12 hours.

The assault on Iran has led Tehran to request an urgent meeting of the UN nuclear watchdog, while European Union foreign ministers are set to convene for “extraordinary” discussions today.

Following Tehran’s repeated threats to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, we expect oil prices to surge when trading commences on Monday morning. This strait serves as a vital oil export channel and an essential maritime route linking oil-producing nations in the Middle East to the global market.

Trump confirmed Khamenei’s death in the airstrikes on Saturday afternoon.

“Khamenei, one of the most malevolent figures in history, has passed away,” Trump stated in a post on Truth Social. “This represents not just justice for the people of Iran, but for all great Americans and individuals from numerous countries around the globe who have suffered or lost their lives at the hands of Khamenei and his ruthless gang of thugs.”

The President of the United States stated that the supreme leader was “unable to evade our intelligence and highly sophisticated tracking systems, and, in close collaboration with Israel, there was nothing he, or the other leaders who were killed alongside him, could do.”

“This represents the most significant opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their nation,” the president stated.

“Reports indicate that a significant number of their IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), military, and various security and police forces are expressing a reluctance to continue fighting and are seeking immunity from us.” As I mentioned last night, ‘Now they can have immunity; later they only get Death!’”

Trump expressed his hope that the IRGC and police will “peacefully merge” with Iranian patriots to bring stability to the country.

“That process should soon be starting in that, not only has Khamenei died, but the country has been, in only one day, significantly damaged and even erased,” he wrote. “The intense and precise bombing will persist, without interruption, throughout the week or for as long as needed to fulfill our goal of peace across the Middle East and indeed, the world.”

Israel announced that its initial strikes dismantled the chain of command, resulting in the deaths of seven senior defense and intelligence officials and targeting a total of 30 high-ranking military and civilian leaders.

Among those confirmed killed are Khamenei’s top security adviser, Ali Shamkhani; IRGC Commander Mohammad Pakpour; Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh; Khamenei’s Chief Military Secretary, Mohammad Shirazi; and Head of Iranian Military Intelligence Saleh Asadi.

In a similar vein, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu urged Iranians to ‘take to the streets en masse’ to overthrow the regime in their country.

Netanyahu also indicated that there were strong signs suggesting that Iran’s Supreme Leader had been killed in an attack on his compound, which was part of US-Israeli strikes.

“This morning, in a significant and unexpected attack, the stronghold of the tyrant Ali Khamenei was obliterated in the center of Tehran… and there are numerous indications that this tyrant is no longer among the living,” Netanyahu stated in a televised address.

Hossein Jabal Amelian, the chairman of the SPND (Iran’s nuclear weapons research organization), along with former SPND Chairman Reza Mozaffari-Nia, was also eliminated.

According to a report, one senior official who survived is Ali Larijani—Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, former parliament speaker, and a close confidant of Khamenei.

Reports indicate that over 250 individuals have lost their lives throughout Iran.

An Iranian official reported that 85 individuals lost their lives following a strike on a girls’ school.
