Nigeria’s future remains uncertain as Chelle seeks a more advantageous agreement
Eric Chelle has no plans to renew his contract with the Nigerian national football team under any circumstances.
As reported by Informateur.ci, the coach is currently requesting a monthly salary of $130,000 to persist in his role leading the Super Eagles.
The Malian coach, currently earning $50,000 per month, is pursuing a substantial pay increase following his success in guiding Nigeria to a third-place finish in the recent Africa Cup of Nations.
This salary increase is part of a total of 19 demands presented to the Nigerian Football Federation, as stated by the same source.
Chelle is said to be seeking increased autonomy in overseeing the squad, making tactical decisions, and organizing technical aspects.
He would also appreciate the increase to encompass the salaries of his assistants.
Eric Chelle, recently represented by the Wilders Sport agency, is actively pursuing greater exposure and aims to position himself for European projects in the medium term.
