J. Cole Offers a Concise Update on Potential Drake “Iceman” Collaboration Following “Big 3” Dispute
Fans are curious about J. Cole’s intentions regarding Drake’s “Iceman” album, even with their seemingly complicated friendship.
During a recent visit to promote his newly released project, “The Fall-Off,” J. Cole took his time to respond. He requested a repeat of the question. Upon hearing it once more, he opted for brevity.
“I’m not so sure about that,” he remarked in a clip shared by Bars.
The response did not provide confirmation of a feature. It also did not exclude one. It only intensified an already vibrant discussion.
Cole and Drake came together in 2023 for “First Person Shooter,” a collaboration that ignited significant discussion regarding rap’s so-called “big three.” In 2024, Kendrick Lamar took on that narrative in Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” resulting in a highly publicized lyrical confrontation between Kendrick and Drake. Cole initially engaged but subsequently withdrew from the intensifying exchange.
Drake has persistently hinted at Iceman via social media updates and sporadic releases, such as “Dog House” featuring Julia Wolf and Yeat. Nonetheless, he has yet to announce a release date for the project.
Cole seems to be concentrating on his launch at this time. It is uncertain whether he will join “Iceman” or maintain his distance.
