Hakimi’s attorney advocates for his client, emphasizing purported discrepancies in the case
Achraf Hakimi’s legal team has released a strong statement concerning the current legal proceedings, highlighting their belief that the forthcoming trial will provide clarity and justice.
Ms. Fanny Colin, Hakimi’s lawyer, highlighted what she characterized as significant inconsistencies in the allegations made against her client. She emphasized that the case depends entirely on the testimony of a woman who, as Colin stated, hindered investigations, rejected medical and DNA tests, opted not to assist with mobile phone searches, and concealed the identity of a crucial witness.
Colin noted that two successive psychological evaluations of the accuser indicated a lack of clarity regarding the alleged events and showed no signs of post-traumatic symptoms. She also asserted that the accuser tried to hide messages exchanged with a friend regarding plans to “strip” Hakimi of his assets.
“With a firm outlook and steadfast resolve, we stand ready for this trial, hopeful that justice will prevail,” Colin stated. The statement highlights the legal team’s approach to question the validity of the allegations and establishes Hakimi as ready to defend himself in court.
