Kandi Burruss is now providing fans with a transparent insight into her decision to conclude her 11-year marriage. On the Sunday episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen inquired of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum regarding her choice to part ways with Tucker in November after 11 years of marriage. Kandi disclosed that the internal shift occurred months prior, despite the news becoming public in late 2025.

“It occurred in July,” Burruss disclosed. “In July, I realized, ‘Oh, yeah. No, I can’t do this anymore.” Cohen sought to identify a particular moment or event, and Kandi addressed the inquiry directly, although she maintained a level of discretion regarding the finer details. “Indeed, it was a particular circumstance that occurred,” the songwriter remarked with a playful tone: “I’m not discussing it on ‘Watch What Happens.’”

Despite the conclusion of the romantic aspect of their relationship, both individuals remain dedicated to their children, Ace, 9, and Blaze, 6. Kandi acknowledged that “sometimes our conversations can get a little intense” as they work through the legalities of the split, but they are focusing on maintaining a civil environment.

“Generally speaking, even when we have disagreements, we make an effort to treat each other kindly,” she explained. “We are sharing parenting responsibilities.” Last night, we attended my son’s basketball game. We sat side by side, close to one another.

“But I believe that once we finish this, we will truly be able to be great co-parents,” she continued, “because our ultimate goal is to ensure that all of our kids are happy and that they don’t bear the weight of our drama.”
