Shia LaBeouf’s wife is urging the actor to seek rehabilitation to address his drinking following an incident that led to his arrest

Mia Goth has reportedly made an urgent appeal to her estranged husband, Shia LaBeouf, encouraging him to seek rehabilitation following his recent circumstances.

The actor departed L.A. for New Orleans to apparently “refocus,” but was recently taken into custody following an alleged drunken altercation with a bar employee.

Compounding the situation, one of Shia LaBeouf’s victims claimed that he shouted homophobic slurs at him during the bar incident while proclaiming his identity as a “Catholic.”

Mia Goth Urges Shia LaBeouf To Enter Rehab

Mia Goth, LaBeouf’s estranged wife, appears to be concerned for him and has urged him to pursue professional assistance after his recent legal troubles.

TMZ reports that sources indicate the actress is urging him to enter rehab to address his drinking problems, as his recent arrest appears to have exposed long-standing personal struggles.

The couple initially crossed paths on the set of “Nymphomaniac” in 2012, experiencing an on-and-off relationship until 2016, when they exchanged vows.

Nonetheless, their relationship allegedly faced difficulties in 2018, resulting in a brief separation. Two years later, they quietly reunited and welcomed their daughter Isabel in 2022.

Reports indicate that the pair have been estranged for nearly a year, yet the “MaXXXine” actress continues to care for him and desires his involvement in their daughter’s life.

They appear to have preserved a friendly rapport with one another despite their separation, with sources indicating that Goth was “concerned” for the father of her child when his recent legal troubles came to light.

Authorities Were Summoned To The Estranged Couple’s L.A. Home Prior to the Separation

Prior to their separation, authorities received a 911 call from the Los Angeles residence of Goth and LaBeouf regarding what was reported as a stalking incident and a disturbance of the peace.

TMZ reports that documents from the Pasadena Police Department indicate that law enforcement arrived at their residence on November 2, 2024, following an emergency call received at approximately 11:12 pm local time.

The news outlet reported that a “uncooperative female” caller was attempting to persuade her husband to leave, stating, “just go.”

She later called back to report that he had refused to leave and was still in the building, with documents indicating that the male could be heard cursing in the background.

The police arrived at the scene six minutes after the call was received and reportedly departed around 11:41 PM. The report omitted the names of the individuals involved, and no statement was taken as it “didn’t escalate to that level.”

The matter was subsequently resolved as it was deemed a verbal disagreement.

Shia LaBeouf was reportedly involved in a bar altercation.

LaBeouf’s issues in his marriage and purported struggles with alcohol gained attention following his confrontation with a bar employee, which resulted in the actor being assaulted.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the New Orleans Police Department apprehended him after receiving reports of “a simple battery” at a business on Royal Street, where two adult males claimed they had been assaulted.

The statement indicated that LaBeouf was “causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive” at the establishment, resulting in his removal from the building.

He reportedly hit a victim with “closed fists” several times and punched a second individual in the nose while numerous bystanders attempted to de-escalate the situation.

According to The Blast, one of the victims informed law enforcement that the 39-year-old actor directed gay slurs at him during the purported attack. An incident report stated that he used profanity on several occasions and, at one point, remarked, “These f–gots put me in jail.” I am a Catholic.

He was subsequently released and faced two counts of simple battery.

Shia LaBeouf performed the ‘Do You Know Who I Am’ routine just moments before his altercation at Mardi Gras.

LaBeouf has reportedly moved from L.A. to The Big Easy, seeking a fresh start after his separation from Goth.

As reported by TMZ, he invested just over a million dollars in a 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath cottage in Uptown, located approximately 20 minutes from the French Quarter. He has been sharing that he arrived there to “reset and refocus.”

It seems the actor has not been leading a quiet life, as staff from several bars report that he was enjoying himself in the days leading up to his arrest on Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
