Stefon Diggs Faces Defamation and Assault Lawsuit Just Days Before Super Bowl LX

The Patriots wide receiver and his brother, Trevon Diggs, have been named in a legal action concerning a dispute over a stolen Ferrari.

As the New England Patriots gear up for the most significant game of the year, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing a substantial legal challenge.

A former business associate has initiated legal action against the 32-year-old athlete, claiming defamation and civil conspiracy in the wake of a contentious disagreement regarding a missing luxury vehicle.

Legal documents acquired by TMZ on Friday, February 6, reveal that the conflict began in July 2024 when the plaintiff was assigned the responsibility of transporting Diggs’ Ferrari across the country. Despite reports indicating that a professional theft ring took the car in Houston, the lawsuit alleges that Diggs accused his own employee, suggesting to those around him that the individual was responsible for the theft.

The repercussions of these allegations have apparently been catastrophic for the former associate, who maintains that he was never regarded as a suspect by the authorities. He asserts that Diggs’ statements damaged his consulting reputation and resulted in intense harassment from the receiver’s inner circle.

It was reported that matters became personal when individuals associated with Diggs allegedly appeared at the man’s residence and several restaurants, insisting that he return the gifts. The plaintiff additionally references a text from January 2025 in which Diggs purportedly stated that he was “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me.”

In December 2025, a violent incident unfolded at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami, where a man alleges he was attacked by two individuals associated with the NFL star. The lawsuit extends beyond Stefon, also including his brother, Trevon Diggs, a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, alleging that he observed the assault without intervening.

The plaintiff claims to have sustained a torn ACL along with other injuries during the altercation and is now pursuing significant damages from both brothers, while Stefon aims to maintain his concentration on the field for Super Bowl LX.
