N’Golo Kanté Signs with Fenerbahçe Following Departure from Al Ittihad

N’Golo Kanté has signed until 2028 after FIFA cleared the paperwork, concluding his time at Al Ittihad, with Fenerbahçe being his sole option.

France midfielder N’Golo Kanté has finalized his transfer to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, marking the conclusion of his tenure at Saudi club Al Ittihad.

The agreement was concluded after Kanté ended his contract with Al Ittihad, allowing for a new beginning in Istanbul.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Fenerbahçe has announced the signing of the former Chelsea and Leicester City star, who will remain with the club until June 2028.

The transfer encountered initial delays stemming from documentation issues; however, both Fenerbahçe and Al Ittihad obtained the necessary clearance from FIFA after a thorough review of the paperwork. The completion of the move was made possible by an official approval from the world football governing body.

Insiders involved in the negotiations revealed that Kanté was unequivocal about his future, expressing a strong desire to join Fenerbahçe despite interest from other clubs. The 33-year-old is anticipated to provide experience, leadership, and stability to Fenerbahçe’s midfield as the club aims for success both domestically and in Europe.

An official statement from the club is anticipated as Kanté gets ready to join his new teammates in preparation for the upcoming fixtures.
