Second Suspect Taken Into Custody Following Incident Where Masked Gunmen Threatened Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Mother at Gunpoint

An arrest over the weekend has advanced the investigation into the violent home invasion in Florida involving Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Authorities have apprehended 18-year-old Sergio Andrade regarding the break-in at the rapper’s residence that occurred in November. Court records acquired by CBS12 indicate that Andrade was arrested on Sunday and faces charges of home invasion robbery with a firearm, false imprisonment, and grand theft. He was admitted to Palm Beach County Jail on the same day.

Andrade has become the second individual taken into custody in connection with the case. In December, authorities apprehended Pedro Rodriguez, who is confronting comparable charges related to the home invasion, as well as possession of marijuana with the intent to sell. According to reports, investigators utilized cell phone data to monitor the suspects’ movements prior to and following the crime.

Security footage from the incident captures three masked men entering the home, restraining 6ix9ine’s mother, and holding her at gunpoint while demanding cash and car keys. The rapper was away from home during the invasion, even though he was under house arrest. He had been granted permission to travel to Miami for a livestream with Jack Doherty. Subsequently, 6ix9ine implied that the timing of the break-in was intentional.

While the legal proceedings for the suspects are ongoing, 6ix9ine is presently serving a three-month federal prison sentence due to a violation of the terms of his supervised release stemming from an altercation at a Florida mall in August.
