CAF sanctions are accepted by the FSF, and an appeal after a disciplinary decision is not allowed
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has formally recognized and accepted the disciplinary ruling issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), stating that it will not contest the sanctions imposed after recent occurrences.

The FSF has issued a communiqué acknowledging Decision DC23315 made by the CAF Disciplinary Jury. Following the examination of the ruling, the federation officially notified CAF of its choice not to appeal the sporting and financial sanctions that were imposed.
The decision extends to specific disciplinary actions aimed at prominent figures within the Senegal national team framework, including:
Head coach Pape Bouna Thiaw
Ismaïla Sarr and Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye are the players.
According to Article 91.4 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, the FSF has confirmed its commitment to fully cover all financial penalties imposed on the federation, the technical staff, and the players involved.
While acknowledging the sanctions, the FSF reaffirmed its dedication to upholding its rightful rights and interests within the governing bodies of football. The federation emphasized that these actions will consistently adhere to CAF regulations, while maintaining the principles of integrity, fair play, and the advancement of African football.
The statement, endorsed by the FSF General Secretariat, was released in Dakar on January 31, 2026, indicating the federation’s commitment to progress while upholding institutional discipline and adherence to CAF’s regulatory framework.
This role successfully concludes the disciplinary case, enabling Senegalese football authorities to redirect their attention to sporting issues both on and off the field.
