As reported by PEOPLE, the 31-year-old architect had reached her breaking point, with a source revealing, “Bianca had been very unhappy in their marriage for a while and attempted to leave several times.” The “vicious cycle” of Ye’s mental health struggles has brought the relationship to the edge.
During his January 28 interview with Vanity Fair, the 48-year-old mogul discussed the “deep depressive episode” that transformed his life. He acknowledged that he was facing challenges due to the effects of an antipsychotic medication, which ultimately prompted him to enter a rehabilitation center in Switzerland. Those who are familiar with him indicate that this is not a recent development; rather, it reflects a recurring cycle in which his mental health deteriorates, leading to turmoil, followed by a surge of “intense guilt and regret” once he regains stability.
This time, though, it appears the consequences nearly jeopardized his marriage, as Bianca was allegedly ready to walk away before he ultimately decided to seek assistance.
Despite the intensity of the drama, Ye’s longtime manager and the individual who discovered him, John Monopoly, believes that things are finally improving. Monopoly, who has been managing Ye since 1992 and lives with bipolar disorder himself, expressed that Ye is finally taking responsibility for his actions.
“For the first time in a while, he is truly confronting his mental health directly and making a commendable effort to address it,” Monopoly told PEOPLE. He highlighted that the rapper is presently in a “great place” and takes pride in the efforts he is making to remain on the right path for himself and those in his circle.
Ye and Bianca initially ignited romance speculation in late 2022, yet this recent development demonstrates that even the most renowned couples face genuine challenges. Amidst the Swiss rehab experience and the public apologies, it is evident that Ye is making efforts to address the consequences of his past.
