Tyra Banks claims that her “true legacy” is her ice cream empire
The supermodel mogul says she wants to “become a myth” in the freezer section.
Although Tyra Banks is formally exchanging her expensive heels for a scoop of ice cream, the process is becoming a little chaotic.
The ANTM icon stated in a recent interview on The Jermaine Plane Podcast that she wants her SMiZE & DREAM business to be her enduring legacy rather than her runway walk.
Tyra opened up about the change, drawing a comparison between her illustrious modeling career and that of a retired athlete. She claims that while the runway has its end, her “Hot Ice Cream” business is meant to endure.
“I want ice cream to be the actual legacy. Tyra said to the host, “I truly do.” “Modeling is like being an athlete—it’s over.” I want the ice cream will last forever. I want to leave a legacy that will have significance long after I’m gone. that I turn into a legend.
Inspired by their Friday night ice cream outings when Tyra was a youngster, the brand is a sincere homage to her mother, Carolyn London. The “hidden truffle” at the bottom of each pint, which she referred to as the “Smize Surprize,” symbolizes the “dream to dig deep” until you ultimately taste achievement.
However, there is currently a significant legal brain freeze that is impeding that achievement. Tyra and her partners are facing a $2.8 million lawsuit from a D.C. landlord who claims they abandoned a 10-year lease for a flagship store in order to concentrate on their growth in Australia.
Citing severe building problems and referring to the case as “extortion,” Tyra’s legal team has already tried to have it dismissed.
I hope this expensive legal battle doesn’t cause her ice cream enterprise to crumble.
