Boosie begs Trump as his freedom is threatened by a federal sentence

Federal prosecutors are advocating for a two-year prison sentence, but probation officials advise giving the Baton Rouge rapper twice that amount of time.

Boosie is looking to the White House for a last-minute rescue as he finds himself at a significant turning point in his legal battle.

After the rapper was found guilty of possessing a firearm as a felony, federal prosecutors in San Diego are formally requesting that he serve a two-year prison sentence as of January 3, 2026. The issue is even worse than it seems, though, since probation officials have recommended a far harsher sentence of over four years in response.

On X, journalist Meghann Cuniff disclosed that Boosie is now counting on Donald Trump to pardon him.

Boosie used social media to publicly and directly plead with Trump just one week before his formal sentencing date.

The rapper claimed in a long article that the Department of Justice’s unjust targeting of him is the cause of his present legal issues. He compared his predicament to the legal indulgence extended to political personalities in order to highlight the alleged double standard in the legal system.

Boosie wrote, “Look at my case, Trump! My case was dismissed, but I was given the same gun charge by Biden’s son, Biden, and I was informed that I was the only person in the nation dealing with that charge at the moment. President Trump, I was never even offered rehabilitation before going straight to prison. I was already given a 10-year sentence in 2009 for third-time Marijuana offenses (grams, grams, grams). I’m Boosie, a rapper and filmmaker from Bathon Rouge, and I was targeted by Trump. I get a lot of shit from my mouth and the things I stand on, but I’m real!

The rapper of “Wipe Me Down” didn’t stop there; he also responded to those who questioned why, after first contacting the Biden administration, he would turn to Trump for assistance.

Boosie made it apparent that he is prepared to use every resource at his disposal to secure his freedom. “YALL SAYING I SHOULDNT ASK FOR A PARDON,” he shot out at his detractors, reiterating his right to fight for his life. QUIT TALKING.I will continue to inquire. I live this life. A month ago, I asked Biden, and now I’m asking Trump! I’m from closed mouths, so I don’t get feted. I deserve a gift because my case was already dismissed. #arguewithyamoma

Meghan Blanco, Boosie’s lawyer, has also been outspoken about the matter; the rapper points out that she has openly challenged the accusations made against him.
