Boosie Appeals to Elon Musk for Assistance in Curing Diabetes Following Deepfake Video Incident
The Baton Rouge legend was taken in by a viral deepfake video that touted a 17-hour cure—prompting even Grok to intervene and deliver the unfortunate truth.
Boosie is fully committed to improving his health in 2026, but he may have become a bit too relaxed regarding the unpredictable realm of AI.
The rap veteran caused quite a stir on Saturday when he posted a plea to Elon Musk in all-caps on X, leaving the internet in disbelief.
Boosie, who has struggled with Type 1 diabetes for years, believed he had discovered the “cheat code” to the disease after watching a video of Musk allegedly presenting a miracle cure.
The rapper known for “Wipe Me Down” was so eager for the information that he didn’t bother tagging Elon; instead, he simply revealed his assistant’s phone number for everyone to see.
“I just watched a video featuring Elon Musk discussing a potential cure for diabetes in 17 hours. Elon, could you please have someone reach out to my assistant at 2052157895? I would like to get more information on this.”
Regrettably for Boosie, the “breakthrough” he perceived was, in fact, a cleverly devised scam. The video was revealed to be a deepfake, showcasing an AI-generated version of Musk endorsing a “fridge trick” supplement that asserts it can reverse diabetes in under a day.
Even Musk’s own AI, Grok, had to intervene and provide a dose of reality.
Grok clarified that the video was entirely fabricated, stating, “It seems Boosie is alluding to a deepfake video making the rounds on social media, featuring an AI-generated Elon Musk endorsing a ‘fridge trick’ supplement that claims to reverse the effects of diabetes in approximately 17 hours.” These advertisements are fraudulent and do not represent genuine statements from Elon. Sources such as Engadget and Polititact verify that they are indeed fabricated.
While Elon Musk is involved in numerous ventures, addressing diabetes in 17 hours is not among them at this time.
