Tyrese says he officially became a single man after spending almost $2 million on divorce fees

The R&B singer is planning a legendary New Year’s Eve birthday party in Turks and Caicos to celebrate his freedom.

The legal turmoil that Tyrese has been dealing with for years is now ended.

He announced the legal completion of his divorce from Samantha Gibson on Instagram on Friday.

Tyrese didn’t hold back when discussing what he described as “one of the most emotionally draining seasons of my life,” including the startling $2 million in legal bills he had to pay to battle for his freedom. The singer has been quite outspoken during this whole process, but it appears from this most recent update that he is at last prepared to move on to better things and put the “psychological warfare” behind him.

The musician said that the financial blow extended beyond his bank account. Tyrese also claimed that his brand suffered greatly, saying that because his child support and divorce disputes were broadcast live to the world, he “endured almost $50 million worth of public scrutiny, PR damage, and reputational attacks.”

Tyrese assured his supporters that he was able to stay afloat in spite of the public back and forth and earlier allegations that he had been held in contempt for unpaid fees.

“I am living evidence that the cup is still overflowing. He continued, “[the true bag bag stayed tucked tucked while lawyers were on the prowl FOH ],” indicating that his way of life isn’t going to change anytime soon.

Tyrese is already organizing his victory lap after signing the court documents and paying the legal fees. In order to celebrate his birthday and the new year, he informed his supporters that he was taking a flight to Turks & Caicos.

“First stop: New Year’s and Turks and Caicos Birthday 2026!” he wrote. He is requesting a “LEGENDARY WHITE PARTY” on New Year’s Eve, which he says will be on a whole new level, as well as all the vibes for his birthday on December 30. The “Sweet Lady” singer appears to be hoping to begin 2026 fresh and free of court appearances.

His post made clear how relieved he was, describing how he felt “LIBERATED” now that the storm was over. Tyrese concluded this update with a message of faith and survival, although he has frequently spoken his honest feelings about the treachery he experienced throughout the divorce.

“The devil made an attempt! Jesus, thank you! “I made it through!” he said.

Tyrese is entering his Capricorn season with a sense of thankfulness, having faced the prospect of jail time due to legal fees and now being a single guy.
